Process

I will try to explain or show you some of what goes into making pieces out of wood. All my material is harvested from the midwest. Usually trees that have fallen or had to be cut down. I will travel throughout the midwest picking up misc types of trees. Cherry, walnut, poplar, oak basically any tree or log that looks like it will make an interesting piece.

Logs

This is what the majority of the logs I get look like, nothing special, always already cut or knocked down.

Steps

this is a picture of the bowl blanks that I have already Cut on the Bandsaw to prep them for mounting to the lathe to cut out the bowls.

Lots of chainsaw work

One of the 3 chainsaws I use, depending on size and quantity that I have to cut.

Hauling

This is a 16 foot trailer that I use to pick up logs, or if there is no way to load the logs, I cut them up into smaller pieces to make loading them easier.
